It’s been over 40 years since we moved from the Meriden side of town to establish Riverview Farm. Our oldest daughter, Amy, was just six months old. Large pine had grown in what is now our oldest part of the orchard.

Amy who built a house on the backside of the farm in 2016 now lives on the farm full time! She also runs her own gardening business most of the year but really enjoys helping us here in the fall. During the winter months, she keeps busy coaching Nordic skiing.

Laura, Dave, and their daughter Ella live in Kittery, ME. They work full time, Dave in the education industry and Laura is a wedding invitation consultant at a letter press shop, but enjoy visiting the farm for some R & R. Ella loves all the fresh fruit and seeing her Pops and Gee. There is farm hand potential there but she has yet to master how to work a hoe.

There was no view of the river from the house; the dairy barn that had been here since the late 1700s fell in that first winter. Paul and the chainsaw were quite busy for a while.

Aaron is a classical pianist but has recently started a career in the airline industry. He keeps busy flying the friendly skies back and forth to Europe. Though he is becoming a worldly traveler he still makes it back to the farm any chance he gets.
